Eastport United Methodist Church will host a 70's themed concert Saturday August 3, 2024 at 4 PM. Hear unforgettable music by Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Marvin Gaye and Simon & Garfinkel. Tap their toes, get up to dance and sing along as the spirit moves them. Refreshments will be on sale.

About the event
Eastport United Methodist Church is hosting a 70's themed concert on Saturday August 3, 2024 at 4 PM.
"Sounds of the 70s" revisits a colorful decade when social discord gave way to positive change. Enjoy the music of Herbie Handcock, Chick Corea, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin performed by leading DMV musicians. The Ravita Jazz band will appear with guest trumpeter Joe Brotherton. Relax in your seat or join your friends dancing to tunes like "Chameleon, "Respect" and "Dancing in the Street." Refreshing drinks and delicious hors d'oeuvres will be sold at intermission.
The concert will raise funds for the third annual Annapolis Jazz & Roots Festival to be held at Eastport UM Church and other sites in Eastport November 1-10. Look forward to international and regional artists in family friendly performances. The August 3 event is suitable for adults and families. Admission: $25 in advance, $35 at the door. Children under 18 admitted free; under 12 admitted free with a guardian.
