A Note From Our Pastor

Welcome to Eastport United Methodist!

Since 1887, this congregation has had a dynamic presence in the community and continues to do so today. This congregation is full of thoughtful people of faith who are dedicated to living with the values of inclusion, justice, compassion, and grace. It is an honor and privilege to serve here among them.

It is my hope that as you search for a church home, a community of faith to worship with, a safe and loving place for your children, a great place to come with your partner to meet new people, a handshake, a hug, or a smile, you will find it here. We are a diverse community of people who seek God in hopes of serving our community with as much love and grace as humanly possible.

Eastport United Methodist celebrates Holy Communion weekly and I continuously remind our people that Christ welcomes all to the Table with these words:

Come to this table,
you who have much faith
and you who would like to have more;
you who have been here often
and you who have not been for a while
you who have tried to follow Jesus,
and you who have failed;
Come.
It is Christ who invites us here.

Whether you are new to the church or visit often, or even if church isn't your thing, I hope the deep and abiding love of God is something you experience while you are with us.

See y'all Sunday,

Pastor Chris

About Our Pastor
