December 4 - #428 – For the Healing of the Nations

This hymn was written in 1965 by Rev. Fred Kaan. He served in the United Reformed Church and wrote more than 200 hymns that have been translated into 15 languages. This hymn reflects the author’s passion for a just healing. This is very clearly a prayer… from all nations, to a peaceable kingdom, to an ability to share what we have, and finally a plea to God to help us grow in God’s likeness.

Prayer: Creator God, bring forth in us your image, that Christ may shine in and through and from us in remarkable ways. Amen.
