For those seeking support and guidance on their path to recovery, a new virtual small group offers a haven of hope and community. This unique program, facilitated by local church leaders Deaconess Colleen Moskov and Deaconess Kathy Loomis, brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who are interested in deepening their relationship with God while navigating the challenges of recovery.
The group blends the wisdom of the 12-step programs with the profound teachings of John Wesley, creating a holistic approach to healing. Participants will engage in weekly discussions centered around a specific step of the 12-step program, exploring relevant scripture, inspirational quotes, and the insights of John Wesley. These discussions provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their experiences, offer support to one another, and find strength in shared vulnerability.
"This group is designed to be a source of encouragement and support for those on their recovery journey," shares Deaconess Moskov. "We believe that by connecting with others who understand the challenges and triumphs of recovery, individuals can find the strength and resilience to overcome obstacles and live fulfilling lives."
The group meets virtually every other Wednesday for 75 minutes, allowing flexibility for participants with varying schedules. The Zoom link is provided exclusively to registered members to ensure a safe and confidential environment for all.
If you are seeking a supportive community and a deeper connection with your faith on your path to recovery, this virtual small group may be the perfect fit. To learn more or to express your interest, please reach out to Pastor Chris or the group leader:Â colleenmoskov@gmail.com.
