This past Sunday you heard me preach on the parable of the lost sheep and the lost coin from Luke 15. These parables are so rich. I love the way the parable of the found coin is explored by Rev. Emmy Kegler in One Coin Found: How God's Love Stretches to the Margins.
Kegler writes as a bisexual/queer woman of faith and uses that experience to explicate this parable so that it might be good news to all people.
Throughout the book I am reminded of the goodness of God and how God has always searched for us and continues to long for us, because we are so deeply and incredibly loved and valued.
My prayer is that you are found in God deep and abiding love, this day and always.
