On October 1 the Outreach team will pivot and start to collect gently used, warm hoodies, sweaters and coats. Do you remember our collecting coats last year? Several of you participated, but Jack Little became the super star who bought out kids coats at Goodwill! Well, we’re collecting again, but this time as a collaborative partner of #JustOneSweater. You’ve had the entire pandemic to clean out your closets, so now I’m giving you a plan what to do with your donations!
From Oct 1 until Nov 28, bring your Clean, gently used, warm hoodies, sweaters, coats, hats and gloves to place inside the white cooler located just outside the Church Office door. Put your donations inside. Child sizes through adult men and women. Only outerwear clothing accepted. No shoes, or other clothes. If you have an exceptionally large donation, call or text me 410-707-9515, and we will arrange you to bring items to our distribution headquarters at the Pip Moyer Rec Center. In November, the EUMC parking lot will be a distribution location for our local families to choose a warm outer layer when they come for our November Food Pantry. Ready, set, clean those closets!
